Strength through support

Supporting the community’s positive mental health

Liam Gilman and the IOM Chamber of Commerce

Kathy and Liam

We had a great time yesterday meeting representatives from Hamblin, Tower Insurance, LMS Partners, Sancus, Manx Marketing Exchange, Fiona Rowe from On Course training, Ron Berry from 3FM who was wearing an inspiring Christmas blazer, staff from PwC, Chancery trust and Quinn Legal along with Rebecca and Julie from the IOM Chamber of Commerce and our rowdy bunch from the centre, who all took advantage of Liam Gilman's very kind offer of taking the perfect LinkedIn portrait for a donation to our charity.

The event helped raise £501.30

As an idea of what that money can help achieve, £500 will pay for 11 person to person sessions with a therapist.

Although Christmas is a wonderfully happy time for most families, it can also be a very difficult time, this week alone we have had 5 new self referrals to our service from local people that have recently had a Cancer diagnosis or have finished treatment, following national guidelines, each person should receive between 6-20 therapy sessions. Every penny that we can raise really does make a difference to someone here on Island and we cannot thank Liam and The Chamber of Commerce for their hard work putting this together.
