Charity Summer Dance
A big thank you to Nick Dale and the charity committee of Cathy Dale, George Reddick, Heather Reddick, Tosh Cainey, Kevin Hurst, Jacqui Mccune & Charlie Cainey who recently organised the Charity Summer Dance at the Legion and helped fundraise for Manx Cancer Help and The Alzheimer’s society.
The event was a great night out with entertainment put on by the fabulous band "Konstuktion" and followed by Dave Cretney's disco, included in the ticket price was a buffet and fantastic prizes, the top prize being a car plus two passengers on the IOM Steam Packet to Liverpool return and two night's BB at the award-winning Coach House Inn in the historic City of Chester.
Everyone that attended remarked on how well organised the event was and enjoyed that the dancing progressed even through the hot summer night.
We really appreciate the hard work and dedication the Nick along with his friends and family put in to raise an incredible £1,512.50 for our Charity. This money will be spent straight away providing up to 30 therapy sessions and helping Manx Cancer Help reduce the waiting list for our services by allowing us to hire some "Sessional Therapists" all whom are fully qualified and accredited. Thank you also to everyone who bought a ticket or donated a prize for the raffle, community spirit is still very alive on the Isle of Man and we are very grateful.
